4.5M quake hits NW China's Gansu province

LONGNAN, Gansu Province - A 4.5-magnitude earthquake jolted Wenxian County in the city of Longnan in northwest China's Gansu Province at 00:25 a.m. Saturday (Beijing Time), according to the China Earthquake Networks Center (CENC).

The epicenter, with a depth of 6 km, was monitored at 33.0 degrees north latitude and 104.9 degrees east longitude, the center said.

The quake came after a 6.6-magnitude earthquake jolted the juncture area of Minxian and Zhangxian counties in the city of Dingxi in Gansu on Monday, leaving at least 95 dead.
