Floods, mudslides claim 22 in Gansu
Floods and mudslides have killed 22 people and left 3 missing in Tianshui, Gansu province, since July 24.
The disasters caused by heavy rain over last week hit more than 32 sq km around the city's Niangniangba township, and the landslide area was about 10 percent of the total area of the township.
According to Liu Yongfu, deputy governor of the province, the government has evacuated more than 10,000 people from disaster-hit areas and settled 2,950 people in 11 temporary housing.
