Beijing airport explosion suspect prosecuted
The case of a partially paralyzed man suspected of detonating a homemade explosive at Beijing Capital International Airport has been transferred to the capital's Chaoyang District People's Procuratorate.
The prosecuting authority confirmed on Monday that Ji Zhongxing, the 34-year-old suspect who uses a wheelchair to move around, has been prosecuted. Ji, who is from Zhencheng, Shandong province, confessed in a police investigation that he triggered the homemade bomb outside Gate B of the arrival hall at the airport's Terminal 3.
He was arrested on July 29. The man has been petitioning for more than 10 years to the government over alleged police abuse that resulted in his paralysis.
