China announces new railway security regulation
BEIJING - A new railway security management regulation will be effective from Jan 1, a statement released by the State Council, the cabinet, said Friday.
Comprised of eight chapters and 108 provisions, the regulation made adjustments to railway security management processes, and raised requirements on quality and security concerning railway construction, high-speed rails and railway transportation.
The regulation was released under an administrative decree signed by Chinese Premier Li Keqiang.
