Huayi partners with Taobao.com

Huayi Brothers Media Corp, China’s largest private movie production company, will cooperate with Taobao.com to sell its movie tickets and derivative products on the country’s largest online shopping platform, Huayi announced on Monday night.

Huayi is the first Chinese movie production company to have a direct partnership with Taobao.com.

As the country’s largest online movie ticket shopping website, Taobao.com enables online seat selection at more than 800 theaters and voucher purchases for more than 1,000 theaters. It sold 800 million movie tickets last year.
