Leaves of Badaling to stay red until mid-November
The leaves along the Badaling section of the Great Wall in Beijing began to turn red on Tuesday and will remain that hue until the middle of November.
One of the most scenic spots in the city during the fall, Badaling is the first place in Beijing where the leaves turn red because of the low temperatures in the mountainous area, according to the tourism authority of Yanqing county.
According to the tourism authority, the leaves will stay red for about 40 days until the middle of November.
The best time to look at the red leaves in Badaling will be in the middle of October, the authority said.
