BEIJING - The Supreme People's Court (SPC) of China opened an email box on its official website on Tuesday to solicit opinions, the People's Daily reported on Wednesday.

The email address is yzxx@court.gov.cn, through which the public can send emails directly to the chief justice, to establish a permanent contact channel between the SPC and the public.

The mail box came after Zhou Qiang, President of the SPC, proposed the idea in a meeting on September 27.

The move is part of the SPC's implementation of the mass-line campaign launched by the Communist Party of China to strengthen the ties between the people and authority, while exorcising undesirable work styles such as formalism, bureaucracy, hedonism and extravagance.
