Boy becomes media star after meeting president

A kindergarten pupil is a media star and top of his class after his picture was taken with President Xi Jinping as the president visited a steamed bun restaurant in Beijing in December, Henan Business Daily reported.

Yuan Bao, 5, from Luoyang of Henan province, posed with the president during lunch at the Qingfeng Steamed Stuffed Bun Shop.

According to Yuan Junliang, the boy’s grandfather, Yuan Bao went to greet Xi after the president finished his lunch.

The president embraced the little boy and posed for a picture with him.

The president’s visit to the restaurant became headline news and photos of him posing with other customers went viral.
