Plane lands in Beijing after man suffers heart attack

A man who suffered a heart attack during a flight was sent to a hospital after the plane made an emergency landing at Beijing Capital International Airport, Beijing Times reported on Wednesday.

The man, 52, felt sick after boarding a plane from Chicago to Singapore on Monday. Six hours into the flight, the man began to feel worse.

The captain decided to perform an emergency landing in Beijing, and the man was rushed to a hospital, where he underwent an operation.

Wu Qiming, the doctor who operated on the passenger, told Beijing Times that thanks to the emergency landing, otherwise the patient, who had high blood pressure and diabetes, would have died on the plane.
