A primary school teacher who gave his 43 students customized winter vacation homework has been applauded as the most considerate teacher by netizens, according to Hangzhou-based City Express.

Shi Jianbo, a Chinese literature teacher for 6th-grade at Tianchang Primary School in Hangzhou, designed the homework assignments for student's individual needs.

Wu Dongze was given two assignments. The first is to interview 10 students in junior high and write 10 tips for students who are about to go to middle school. The second is to write a letter to his father and hand it to him on the eve of the Lunar New Year.

"Wu has a gift with computers and he is good at collecting information. It will be good for him to collect the suggestions and deliver them to the whole class after the break," Shi explained as why he chose those assignments, adding that Wu's father is strict with him, so the letter will soothe their relationship and help them communicate.

"The winter vacation is short and I want my students to have fun," Shi said, adding that the individually designed homework assignments will help students try something new and improve communication with their parents.
