Boy rescued from ledge six stories high

A 6-year-old boy was stranded on the cement roof flashing of a six-story building until a neighbor called police in Suining, Sichuan province, on Monday.

The boy forgot his keys and tried to enter his home from the roof by climbing an iron bar attached to the building, according to a report by West China Metropolis Daily. However, the boy got trapped on the 30-cm-wide flashing and dared not climb into his home’s window, which was more than 20 meters above the ground.

Six firefighters were called and pulled the boy back to the roof five minutes after they arrived.
