2.26-meter man finds regular height girlfriend

A 2.26-meter man in Chongqing found his first love on Valentine’s Day when the woman came to meet him after seeing his lonely hearts ad, Chongqing Economic Times reported.

Wang Qiang, 31, who is as tall as famous basketball player Yao Ming, suffered a tumor in his head that made him grow 3 to 4 cm per year since he was 17. The tumor also caused loss of sight in his left eye.

Wang stopped growing after a Beijing hospital removed the tumor in 2012. He now works at a scenic spot as an impersonator of Chinese mythological figures, such as the God of Wealth.

His new girlfriend, 1.56 meter tall Chen Hong, 20, went to meet Wang at his workplace after she saw his marriage-seeking information on the Internet. They hit it off and became a couple a few hours later.

A representative of the scenic spot Wang works for has promised the couple a wedding at the site if the relationship leads to marriage.
