2 legislators sacked in N China province

TAIYUAN - Two officials in North China's Shanxi province have been removed from their legislative posts in the 12th National People's Congress (NPC), local authorities said on Sunday.

Jin Daoming, also vice-chairman of the Shanxi Provincial People's Congress Standing Committee, was dismissed from office at a local people's congress meeting on Sunday following an investigation on him for suspected "serious violation of discipline".

Ding Xuefeng, also mayor of Lyuliang city, was removed from office at the meeting for alleged disciplinary violations.
