Infrared cameras installed at a wildlife protection station in Jilin province captured night images of Siberian tigers that prove the rare animals live nearby, Xinhua News Agency reported on Wednesday.
The cameras, which show heat signatures of objects, including animals, were installed by the Wildlife Conservation Society and Jilin's Hunchun national nature reserve. They produced a series of images of tigers - Jan 6, Jan 14 and Feb 12.
Siberian tigers are among the rarest of species in the world. The infrared images were submitted to researchers for study.
