CHANGSHA - A court has upheld the death sentence of a man who stabbed his doctor to death at a hospital in Central China's Hunan province, the local court said Wednesday.
Hunan's provincial Higher People's Court on Tuesday dismissed the appeal of Wang Yunsheng, who stabbed a doctor to death in April 2012 at the inpatient department of the No 3 People's Hospital in Hengyang city.
Wang was sentenced to death and deprived of political rights for life in the first instance trial by the Intermediate People's Court in Hengyang city in December 2012.
Wang was diagnosed with tuberculosis at the hospital in May 2011. Dissatisfied with the treatment effect, he had wrangled with his doctor many times before the tragedy happened.
