All 12 survive tunnel collapse

All 12 workers survived more than two days after they were trapped early Wednesday when a railway tunnel in Jilin province collapsed, local news portal hctvnet.com reported Friday.

The rescuers have completed digging for a supply channel and are excavating for an escape pipe now, the news portal quoted a news conference as saying.

The tunnel in Hunchun of the Jilin-Hunchun High-Speed Railway, which is under construction, collapsed at around 2 am Wednesday, leaving 12 workers trapped.
