Jiangxi vice governor removed from post

NANCHANG - Yao Mugen, vice governor of East China's Jiangxi Province was removed from his post on Friday for severe disciplinary and legal violations.

The decision was made at a meeting of the Standing Committee of the Jiangxi Provincial People's Congress on Friday morning.

Yao was born in November, 1957. He was appointed vice governor of Jiangxi on May 27, 2011.

On March 22, 2014, the Central Commission for Discipline Inspection of the Communist Party of China announced on its official website that Yao was under investigation for suspected disciplinary and legal violations.
