College students make up majority of sperm bank donors

More than 80 percent of the sperm donors with the Guangdong Human Sperm Bank have been university students since the bank was established 10 years ago, New Express reported on Monday.

Others have included university teachers and those working in financial institutions and law firms, said Tang Lixin, director of the sperm bank.

The sperm bank has recorded several thousand qualified donors.

Only 20 percent of all volunteers have qualified to make a donation, he said.
