The China Student Television Festival began in late April in a bid to build a connection between media students and the industry.
Initiated by the Communication University of China and co-hosted by nine other Chinese universities around the country, the six-month festival is taking place in 10 Chinese cities, including Beijing, Nanjing and Xi’an.
Highlights include a nationwide college student TV creation contest, a major selection of college students’ favorite TV programs and series, and a series of workshops and training camps for students wanting to join the TV industry.
After a media education forum in early October, the festival will conclude with an award presentation ceremony.
