The CPC Central Commission for Discipline Inspection (CCDI) found after an investigation that Jiang was guilty of taking advantage of his post to seek benefits for others, extorting and receiving a huge amount of bribery.

The CCDI said Jiang's conduct has seriously violated the Party discipline and the bribery-taking problem has allegedly infringed laws.

The CCDI has decided to hand over Jiang's case to prosecutors for suspected infringement of law, it added.

Jiang was removed from office because of suspected serious discipline violations in last September.
