BEIJING - Three Chinese officials have been punished for forging credentials and personal information, the Organization Department of the Communist Party of China Central Committee said in a notice Tuesday.
The notice, posted on the website "12380," a platform to report officials' misconduct, revealed that Wang Hongying, former secretary general of the Quality Supervision Association in Taiyuan City, capital of north China's Shanxi Province, changed her birth date and faked her tenure as a local economic official.
Wang Hongying was deprived of her civil servant status and removed from her current post.
Wang Qiulan, together with an official who is only identified by his surname Li, helped Wang Hongying to forge her credentials. Wang Qiulan was demoted and Li was removed from his current post, according to the notice.
Huang Meifang, an official with the economic development zone of Yuncheng, Shanxi Province, received a serious Party warning after it was revealed that her father, Huang Changquan, head of the Finance Bureau of Jishan County, had altered her birth date. The senior Huang was demoted.
Zhong Li, deputy dean of a technician training school in Meizhou City in south China's Guangdong Province, was removed from his post after he was found to have fabricated his employment at an institution affiliated to the Bureau of Land and Resources at Wuhua County. He obtained status as a civil servant after his father, president of the Intermediate People's Court of Meizhou, sought help from officials in Wuhua County.
His father, together with another 11 officials who were implicated in Zhong's case, received Party warnings.
