A doctor has been arrested after a patient claimed he raped her at a hospital in Guangzhou, Guangdong province, the New Express Daily reported on Thursday.
The woman, surnamed Huang, said she was attacked in May after she went for treatment for lumbar disc protrusion.
The hospital sacked the doctor immediately. However officials refused to give the patient compensation because they said the incident was a personal issue rather than a hospital-related matter.
The doctor, surnamed Xue and in his 60s, was arrested at his home town in Jiangsu province.
