Golden guardrails to be installed in other cities

Anti-collision golden guardrails on Beijing's Chang'an Avenue are to appear in more Chinese cities, according to Beijing Times.

A source from manufacturer China North Industries Group Corporation said the railings are made of high-strength steel and are stronger than regular guardrails. If run into by vehicles they bounce back into shape.

Golden guardrails have already been installed in many sites including Tiananmen Square, Golden Water Bridge and the Great Hall of the People and will now become regular sights in cities nationwide.
