BEIJING - Most areas in southwest China and some regions south of the Yangtze River will see modest to heavy rainfall in the next three days, the country's meteorological authority said on Saturday.
From Saturday night to Monday, southwest China's Chongqing Municipality, Sichuan, Guizhou, Yunnan provinces as well as the southern part of Hubei Province and regions south of the Yangtze River will be hit by modest to heavy rain, according to the National Meteorological Center.
The quake-hit region in Yunnan will experience strong rainfall from Saturday to Sunday, the observatory forecast.
It also warned mountain torrents in areas of south China that are prone to such geological disasters.
