SHENZHEN - A Japanese man committed suicide on Saturday after killing his wife and son at home in Shenzhen, Guangdong Province, local police said late Sunday.

The police in Baoan District said they received on Saturday night a phone call from a man saying his 39-year-old younger brother, of Japan nationality, could not be reached.

Police arrived at the home of the younger brother and found him, his wife and son all dead.

An initial investigation showed that the suicide and the killings of the wife and the son on Monday and Saturday, respectively, were due to family disputes.

A suicide note left by the Japanese man attributed the killings to domestic violence done by his wife.

The police statement neither disclosed full name of the Japanese man nor made detail on his wife.
