Talking robot an expo hit

Visitors to an expo in Chengdu, Sichuan province, have been quick to view a robot that talks.

The automaton was on display on Wednesday at the Century City New International Exhibition and Convention Center in the city's southern suburbs.

The visitors either posed for a picture beside the robot, which was made in Kunshan, Jiangsu province, or used their phones to take pictures of it. They are attending the three-day 5th China International Copyright Expo, which opened on Wednesday.

The expo is sponsored by the State General Administration of Press, Publication, Radio, Film and Television, the National Copyright Administration and the Sichuan provincial government.

It covers 22,000 square meters and has attracted more than 170 well-known organizations and companies from China, Italy, France, Spain, Japan, the United States, South Korea and the European Union.
