Workers rescued four days after tunnel collapse

A trapped worker in a tunnel collapse is rescued in Chuxiong, Southwest China's Yunnan province, Sept 19, 2014. Four workers trapped in a tunnel collapse for four days were rescued here. They were reached by rescuers at about 7:19 am on Friday as a 18.5-meter-long passageway for the trapped workers to escape was completed, according to the rescue headquarters. KUNMING - Four workers trapped in a tunnel collapse for four days were rescued on Friday morning in Southwest China's Yunnan province, local authorities said.

They were reached by rescuers at about 7:19 am on Friday as a 18.5-meter-long passageway for the trapped workers to escape was completed, according to the rescue headquarters.

Rescuers are still searching for another two missing workers.

The accident happened at about 9:30 am on Monday in Chuxiong city after one of the support arches for the Guangtong-Dali railway renovation project collapsed.
