Two Chinese local officials indicted for bribery

BEIJING - Two officials in east China's Shanghai and neighboring Jiangsu Province have been separately indicted for taking bribes, according to the Supreme People's Procuratorate on Friday.

Prosecutors in Shanghai on Friday filed the case of Gu Tiquan, formerly board chairman and deputy secretary of the Party committee of the state-run Hudong-Zhonghua Shipbuilding Co., Ltd, at the Shanghai No.1 Intermediate People's Court.

The case of Cheng Xiaoqiang, former Party committee secretary of Nantong Agricultural College, was submitted to Suzhou Intermediate People's Court in Jiangsu on Wednesday.
