BEIJING - Former vice governor of east China's Anhui province Ni Fake has been indicted for taking bribes and holding unidentified property, according to the Supreme People's Procuratorate on Monday.
Prosecutors in Dongying City in East China's Shandong province filed the case against Ni at the Dongying Intermediate People's Court.
Ni gained benefits for others by abusing his power and took large amounts in bribes when he served as mayor and Party secretary in Liu'an city, Anhui, and as the province's vice governor, according to the indictment.
Ni's household property and expenditures obviously exceed his income, and he cannot identify the source of the "huge difference," the indictment said.
