Chinese VP underlines co-op with Cambodia

BEIJING - China will keep deepening comprehensive strategic partnership with Cambodia, Chinese Vice-President Li Yuanchao said in Beijing on Friday.

China is willing to maintain the tradition of high-level contact, carry forward pragmatic cooperation in various areas and share governance experience with Cambodia, Li told Cambodian Prime Minister Hun Sen when they met in Beijing.

China and Cambodia are "good friends and true friends who have gone together through thick and thin", he said.

Hun Sen expressed gratitude for China's long-time support and help, saying Cambodia is ready to facilitate cooperation with China in all fields.

He will be present at a dialogue on strengthening connectivity partnership scheduled on Saturday in Beijing, which will also be attended by leaders from China, Bangladesh, Laos, Mongolia, Myanmar, Pakistan and Tajikistan.
