Four injured in south China supermarket attack

GUANGZHOU -- Four people were injured when a man caused a ruckus Sunday morning in a supermarket in Heshan, south China's Guangdong Province, police said.

It is alleged the 28-year-old, who has been identified by the surname Pan, opened a bottle of alcohol and set fire to the liquid. He then attacked two security guards and two bystanders with the broken glass bottle.

The man was arrested by police at the scene and the injured were brought to hospital.

The investigation is underway.
