BEIJING -- Three local officials have been detained for the alleged acceptance of bribes, according to a statement released Wednesday by the Supreme People's Procuratorate.
The officials have been identified as Zhao Shan, former deputy head of the People's Congress Standing Committee of Tangshan City in North China's Hebei province; Zhang Hong, former deputy mayor of Qinzhou in South China's Guangxi Zhuang autonomous region; and Tang Zhiming, former head of the civil air defense office of Southwest China's Chongqing Municipality.
Further investigation into the allegations continues.
