XI'AN - A Joyair plane was forced to make an emergency landing on Thursday in northwest China's Shaanxi Province, Yulin airport said.
Joyair flight JR1518, which was heading for Taiyuan from Yinchuan, landed safely in Yulin and no casualties were reported.
The Yulin fire service said it had received a call to deal with an emergency landing early afternoon.
According to a source with the airport, the pilot called for permission to land due to the faulty release of the aircraft's undercarriage. However, airport crew later saw the landing and confirmed the landing gear had opened.
The cause of the incident is being investigated.
The Joyair fleet is made up mainly of domestic-made aircraft.
