BEIJING - Huang Xingguo, mayor of North China's Tianjin municipality, has been appointed the acting Communist Party chief of the city, according to a CPC statement released Tuesday.
The incumbent party chief, Sun Chunlan, will be appointed to another post, said a statement from the Organization Department of the CPC Central Committee, citing a decision made by the CPC Central Committee.
Huang, born in 1954, has been mayor of Tianjin since January 2008, according to the official website of the Tianjin municipal government.
