A 5.5-magnitude quake struck Jianhe county in southwest China's Guizhou province Monday, according to the China Earthquake Networks Center.
The quake hit at 9:47 am at 26.6 degrees north latitude and 108.8 degrees east longitude with a depth of 7.0 kilometers, it said.
One woman was hit by fallen tiles and has been sent to a local hospital.
13,000 people have been affected by the quake.
No aftershock occurs yet.
The test of Guizhou section of Shanghai-Kunming high speed rail has also been postponed due to the earthquake.
