BEIJING - Three more Chinese officials are being investigated for alleged bribe taking in separate cases, the Supreme People's Procuratorate said Friday.
The trio are Ji Kejian, former vice-mayor of the city of Wuxi in East China's Jiangsu province, Xiao Peng, board member and deputy general manager of China Southern Power Grid Co Ltd. based in South China's Guangdong province, and Huang Huakuan, former head of the transportation bureau of South China's Guangxi Zhuang autonomous region.
Huang was arrested and Ji was placed under "coercive measures," which, according to China's criminal procedure law, include summons by force, bail, residential surveillance, detention and arrest.
