SHENYANG - A blast tore through an apartment building around 6 a.m. Sunday in northeast China's Liaoning province, leaving two dead and another 11 injured.
Rescuers uncovered three people trapped in the rubble. Two of them were found dead while another has been hospitalized. Another ten people sustained minor injuries.
The blast caused one side of the three-story building to collapse. Shattered glass and rubble have also injured passersby.
Authorities have yet to discover the cause of the blast. An initial claim blaming it on a liquified petroleum gas explosion has been ruled out as the fuel is not used in the neighborhood.
