China and Myanmar should make joint efforts to maintain stability and safety on their border, Premier Li Keqaing said when meeting with visiting Myanmar President Thein Sein on Friday.
China is willing to enhance cooperation in infrastructure construction and implement initiatives including the Bangladesh-China-India-Myanmar corridor, Li said.
Thein Sein is in China to mark the 70th anniversary of the end of World War II and victory in the War of Resistance against Japanese Aggression.
He expressed gratitude for China's help in flood disaster rescue efforts and said Myanmar is willing to work with China in infrastructure construction, connection of the two countries' roads and waterways and exchanges of education and youth.
