Seminar addresses humanitarian aid challenges

A seminar, hosted by the Chinese Academy of Governance to address humanitarian aids challenges, concluded over the weekend in Beijing.

Over 100 governmental officials, experts, and enterprise representatives from more than 10 countries attended the seminar expressing their opinion towards the rising challenges in humanitarian aid.

The seminar started on Oct 21 and was jointly hosted by the China-EU Institute of Emergency Management of the CAG and Research and Development International of the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences. Experts from the International Federation of Red Cross, Red Crescent Societies, and the International Committee of the Red Cross gave lectures.

During the event, experts delivered speeches on the opportunities and challenges facing current international humanitarian actions. Also part of the discussion was the advantages and disadvantages of humanitarian work models, and topics for the 2016 World Humanitarian Summit.
