The Chinese government and enterprises will not conduct cooperation or business with the two US weapon makers that are involved in selling weapons to Taiwan, Foreign Ministry spokesman Hong Lei said on Thursday.

The Obama administration formally notified the US Congress on Wednesday of a $1.83-billion arms sale package for Taiwan, and the US State Department said Raytheon and Lockheed Martin were the main contractors in the sales, Reuters reported.

"The involvement of US enterprises in the arms sale to Taiwan severely undermines China's sovereignty and security interests. The Chinese government and enterprises will not conduct cooperation or business with such enterprises," Hong said.
