Tech giant wave for smart living
The Internet industry tycoons have their minds on "smart living" to improve people's daily life.
Ma Huateng, chief executive officer of Tencent Holdings and also a NPC deputy of the Guangdong delegation, suggested that the government should boost the use of mobile Internet and connect "people and public services digitally", especially in the areas of healthcare, education and pollution.
Tencent's competitor seconded the idea. Li Yanhong, the chief executive officer of Baidu Inc, proposed helping companies to offer services to help people make appointments online for hospital visits.
