Drugs can be cheaper
More than 90 percent of medicines in the Chinese market can be cheaper, and some of their prices can be halved, Guangxi legislator and chairman of Guangxi Huahong Pharmaceutical Co,Ltd, Wei Feiyan said at a Sunday's seminar.
"There were more than 30 medicine price cuts in the past decade, but the price ended up increasing," Wei said.
The current system has loopholes that allow wholesalers and retailers to increase drug prices through special deals and kickbacks.
