Huugjilt's mother calls for further justice

"Since my son's case has been rectified, the only work left now is to hold those who made the wrong conviction accountable," Shang Aiyun, mother of Huugjilt, a man wrongly sentenced to death and executed in a controversial 1996 rape and murder case.

Shang said she has read the work report of the Supreme People's Court (SPC), which mentioned her son's case, carefully, and was impressed by its pledge to improve the mechanism to prevent and correct wrongful convictions.
