Less than three months following the conclusion of the 2016 Spring China Restaurant Week, DiningCity, the organizer of the event, is bringing an even more premium gastronomic extravaganza, this time in partnership with American Express.

From May 20th to 29th, more than 50 top-ranked restaurants in four cities - Shanghai, Beijing, Shenzhen and Guangzhou – will be a part of Elite Dining Week.

While it usually costs at least 600 yuan per person to dine at these participating restaurants, foodies will only have to pay 198 yuan for a lunch set and 398 yuan for dinner during Elite Dining Week.

An extended Elite Dining Week Winners' Edition will follow after the event from June 10th to 19th. The extended version will feature eight of the most popular restaurants (three in Shanghai, three in Beijing, one in Shenzhen, and one in Guangzhou) which are determined by the number of bookings and diners' reviews during Elite Dining Week.

Reservations for Elite Dining Week can be made through www.elitedw.com and DiningCity's mobile app.

Known as a pioneer of food festivals in China, Restaurant Week has been a biannual affair since its introduction in Shanghai in 2009. It is held in March and September. Due to the popularity of the event, it has now expanded to Beijing and second-tier cities such as Hangzhou, Zhejiang province, and Suzhou, Jiangsu province.
