Guangzhou on high alert as Typhoon Nida causes traffic chaos

According to Guangdong provincial authorities, the ferry services between Shenzhen and Hong Kong and Zhuhai have been suspended starting Monday noon. The internal river ferry service in Guangzhou, capital of Guangdong province, was also halted on Monday.

Guangdong's normal operation of the major railway lines have also been affected by Nida, according to Guangzhou Railway Group.

And in Guangzhou Baiyun International Airport, Shenzhen Bao'an International Airport and Zhuhai Airport, many flights have been cancelled or delayed because of the storms.
