Over 4,000 student volunteers for G20 duties

HANGZHOU -- More than 4,000 students from China and abroad will participate in voluntary service during next month's G20 Summit in east China's Hangzhou City.

According to the city's Communist Youth League, a total of 4,021 university and high school students out of more than 26,000 applicants have received training.

Twenty-five volunteers are international students from Russia, Germany, Australia, Kazakhstan and other countries. About 95 percent of the volunteers speak good English, while some others can speak German, Russian, French, Spanish, Arabic and Indonesian.

Over 1 million local residents have participated in safety and publicity related voluntary work since December, and will continue to offer services during the summit.
