It is a place not only where plants of peace have been watered for more than a century. It was here that some of China's most important events have unfolded.

It is the gardens of West Lake State Guest House in Hangzhou, which over the past few days have had a chance to relive their days of glory in the presence of world leaders and under the spotlight of the world's media.

On September 3, the day before the ongoing 11th G20 Summit, President Xi Jinping met his US counterpart Barack Obama, who came to Hangzhou for the summit, mentioning one important moment in Sino-US relations among other issues.
