BEIJING - Chinese police arrested two men and a woman suspected of telecom fraud during the week-long National Day holiday period, the Ministry of Public Security (MPS) said Saturday.

Only one out of 10 major fugitives named on a top-level warrant which the MPS listed on Sept 26 remains at large.

One of the three suspects, Yue Yongfu and his men are implicated in 89 fraud cases involving 6.2 million yuan (about $928,000), in 25 provincial-level regions.

Four of Yue's associates were captured earlier, with Yue surrendering to police in Central China's Henan province on Sept 30.

Chen Fujin is suspected of a bank card fraud in January worth 8.88 million yuan. Chen escaped to Macao on Sept 29, three days after being listed as wanted, but was captured on Oct 2 and taken back to China's southeastern Fujian province the next day.

Chen Hong, together with others, is suspected of being involved in a fraud amounting to 4.47 million yuan. Eight of her companions have been arrested and sentenced. She surrendered to the police in South China's Guangxi Zhuang autonomous region on Oct 4.
