It is the second time that he has visited the bridge. In 2009, he, then the Vice-Premier, held its groundbreaking ceremony at South China's Zhuhai city.
The project is expected to be completed at the end of 2017. Spanning 55 kilometers, it will be the longest cross-sea bridge in the world.
Analysts said the project will benefit the communication among Hong Kong, Macao and Chinese mainland.
