Seventeen young Chinese people will be selected during a three-month nation-wide campaign initiated by the UN that began on Monday. The campaign is aimed at encouraging the youth's involvement in sustainable development goals.

Over the next three months, those aged below 24 will be encouraged to support the sustainable development goals (SDGs) by submitting their creative work to imagine.cn@one.un.org. The art works should describe a blueprint of a world after the SDGs have been realized after 2030.

Initiated by the UN Subgroup on Youth, the campaign of Imagine 2030 aims at encouraging Chinese youth to participate more in implementing the 2030 Agenda with its 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). The SDGs were adopted by world leaders in September 2015 to fight against inequality, boost shared prosperity and combat climate change.

The winners of the campaign will be invited to the UN office in Beijing for a face-to-face dialogue with UN China officials.
